60 minute update Immuno-Oncology: Innovation & Efficiency in Administering Immunotherapy

This webinar is hosted by dr. Roelof van Leeuwen, hospital pharmacist and researcher and Ruben Malmberg PhD candidate and clinical trial pharmacist. They both work at the Erasmus Medical Center (EMC) based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

The EMC, one of the country’s leading oncology centers, evaluated the IV administration process of immunotherapy. Is it possible to treat more IO patients with the same resources and maintaining high quality care? In the Connect and Go program, more than 120 patients were treated with immunotherapy via an elastomer pump. This ambulatory pump allows these patients to leave the infusion area instead of spending 30 to 60 minutes in the infusion chair.

During the webinar the hosts will address several questions, such as: what lessons are learned? How were the patients monitored? How did patients and staff value the program and how much time can be saved?
